What are Bedding Pellets used for?
Wood animal bedding pellets efficiently soak up liquid waste, creating a clumped, confined wet spot for removal. They also provide shock absorption for resting animals, especially when used as horse bedding pellets. Pelletized bedding can sometimes be better than cat litter and is even a good option for chicken bedding.

How to Place Bedding Pellets
For large animals, like horses, bedding pellets can be used in a dry or moistened state. To use dry pellets, simply empty the bag onto the floor of the habitat. For moistened pellets, open a bag and pour in 1 gallon of water. Pellets will expand into a sawdust-like material. A 40-pound bag of moistened bedding pellets covers a 5-foot square area with a depth of 1.5 inches. For small, caged animals, dry pellets should be layered to the animal’s knees. Use bedding pellets for cat litter by filling the litter box to the same height as traditional clay litter.
Size and Storage
Individual animal bedding pellet bags weigh 40 pounds and are 23 inches long, 19 inches wide and 6 inches deep. Customers can also purchase bedding pellets in bulk, with 50 bags per pallet, weighing 2,100 pounds. Bags are compact and easily stored for later use.
